I have never seen a prolapsed cow...until last Saturday. It was sure a sad sight! We came across a cow who prolapsed during labor, the calf was dead and the momma was very unhappy. We got her in the coral's and thought how hard could it be to fix this? Turns out pretty damn hard. I got the dutiful job as the assistant and held the bloody tail out of the way and helped hold the uterus up with my other hand while Jon and Tay did the rest. I really just wanted to cry for her though! I believe we got her put back together in record time and gave her some antibiotics so she wouldn't get infected. I'm anxiously awaiting an update from Taylor to see how she is doing!
